I am a high voltage outdoor person, and spend most of my free time exploring the mountains and canyons on bicycle, unicycle, kayak or foot. Other passions include, but are not limited to, antique bicycle restoration and record (music) collecting. My greatest source of pride is being the father of two great guys, that are my teammates in this event.

Born in Flagstaff, AZ and currently settled in Philadelphia, PA, I started unicycling with my brother Max one summer in Maine. I liked it so much that I picked up a cheap 20" unicycle and rode it to all of my classes in college, through rain or snow. After supporting my brother's 720 mile Unicycle Max ride through New England, I have wanted to join the 36" long distance unicycling crowd. Ride the Loster was the perfect opportunity. When I'm not unicycling, I'm usually playing guitar in various bands, entertaining my pug puppy, or working on random design and video projects.

Some people get a car for their 16th birthday. Instead, my dad got me a new set of... wheel. I learned to unicycle with my brother in our mom's driveway back in 2002. In 2006, I unicycled 720 miles solo around New England to raise money for my college tuition. During the trip, I was bit by ticks, slept in ditches, rained on nearly every day, dumped by my girlfriend, hit by a van, and spat at by a llama, but the trip was well worth the agony. Not only did I raise enough money to enroll at UMaine Farmington, but my tour inspired Edward Wedler to organize Ride The Lobster.

I am a third-year student at the University of Maine at Farmington, majoring in Rehabilitation Services with a minor in Psychology. I am also studying to become a certified personal trainer. I am not a unicyclist, but I am in the process of learning. I am currently taking lessons from UnicycleMax himself.
