I learned to ride at the age of ten after receiving a 20" unicycle from my father.
Following a twenty year absence from riding, I picked up unicycling again in 1996.
In 1997 I rode up Mt. Diablo in California on my 20" Schwinn unicycle following a dare from one of the locals.
The ride became a fundraiser and the proceeds went to Easter Seals.
Soon afterward, my interest turned to mountain unicycling.

I learned to ride a unicycle the day before my 7th birthday and have been riding the past 9 years with a passion.
There’s no better feeling than bombing down a steep intensely technical section or cranking with all your might to conquer a hill that’s been claimed to be “impossible”.
My two favorite types of riding are muni and long distance, though I have spent some time working on freestyle.

I learned to unicycle in 1997, inspired by a video made by George Peck showing him riding a unicycle off-road in unthinkable places in Alaska.
For the first few years I concentrated on Mountain Unicycling, giving up mountain biking almost completely. In 1999, I started riding a 36? unicycle, first for fun and commuting, but starting in 2002, in races, and increasingly, off-road and on long distance rides and tours.
In 2003, I started doing longer, foreign unicycle tours. Since then, I?ve continued these trips, as well as mountain unicycling.
