I began unicycling in 7th grade. I enjoyed using a pogo stick but realized it was not a efficient form of transportation. In my pursuit of finding a unique way to get around I discovered unicycling. I have been using unicycles to get around ever since. I am currently a junior at Fallston High School. In addition to unicycling, I am a member of our school orchestra and jazz ensemble. I am eagerly looking forward to Ride The Lobster as a chance to meet unicyclists from around the world as well as compete in the activity I love, unicycling.

Eric Evenchick
My name is Eric Evenchick and I'm a seventeen year old student from Canada's capital, Ottawa, Ontario. I'm quite active and I partake in a bunch of sports, including some unusual ones. Unicycling is something that I love doing and I've been riding for over 3 years now. There are several types of unicycling that I do including mountain unicycling, trials, and distance. I am new to the whole distance unicycling idea this year but I do have a lot of experience in road biking. When I'm not atop a unicycle, I'm usually road biking, mountain biking, orienteering or skiing. I teach downhill skiing in the winter and mountain biking in the summer. Other than sports, I am quite interested in music and technology. I play the flute and trombone in my school's bands, and I take care of our school's audio and lighting. I'm looking forward to riding the lobster!

James Spurling
I was born in Guelph, Ontario on February 20th, 1988. When I was one year old, my family moved to Ireland where I grew up until I was ten years old. I guess the spark that made me get a unicycle was there, I had seen a short documentary on TV about MUni and wanted one, but didn't get one. In 1998, we moved back to Canada to small town called Tottenham. We've been here since then. I purchased my first unicycle in August of '07. I've been riding now since then and have added two more unicycles to my collection. Personality wise, I think I could be described as and easy-going, forward looking person. As of now, I have taken a year off from school, and am looking forward to my first year of college in a broadcasting program.

About me? I don't know what to say really. I guess I like a lot of things, do a lot of things, and plan a lot of things. I tend to be a little bit of a pessimist and like other peoples misfortunes. Thats why I`m on this thing, I`m hoping to watch my team mate James crash and burn horribly... and trust me thats definitely worth the 125ish I`ve paid. ;) Don`t judge me, we pay about that much for hockey tickets. :) Anyways, on a more positive note. The real reason I`m here is to have some fun, and I couldn`t think of anything better then a uni-race... I seriously need to get out more. ;) But in short, I'm an average guy with average skills, living an average life that also wants to learn how to unicycle before I get to Nova Scotia... I also go to Laurentian University for various courses.
