40th Annual Hilly Hundred, Bloomington, IN, over 5000 riders, 5 unicyclists. Saturday October 13th, started at 8:00 a.m., riding a KH 29er, met other unis before the first rest stop. Mike McDermott, C.T. Guzman, Joe Sherman, and Guy Leonard we also riding. The weather and the scenery were beautiful, with the leaves just starting to turn. With 5000 cyclists the roads were full, at least for the first half of the ride. We rode together for most of the day, with Joe finishing first, and Mike and I later finishing together. Total ride and rest stop time was 10 hours.

I started again about 8 a.m. on Sunday the 14th. Mike rode a bike that day. We met at the first rest stop. He'd tried to get in touch with CT, Joe, and Guy but had no answer on C.T.'s phone. We found later they'd had some mechanical problems and called it an early day. I took off & Mike followed, taking a few pictures. It was yet another beautiful day, particularly the ride through the national forest with the leaves turning. I finished this day in 9 hours, followed by a SAG driver also named Mike for the last hour or so. It felt great to finish!
