Weather - Mostly clear and dry, especially for Western Oregon at this time of year. I rode about 10 miles in a pretty soupy fog. Very little wind.
The rain pretty much killed any possibility that today’s ride would be a nice one. Within 10k my gloves were soaked and the digits were starting to get pretty cold. A little past my halfway turnaround point I stopped in a service station for a few minutes to get out of the rain switch to some dry gloves that I brought with me. Once I got on the road again my shoes were soaked and the new gloves got soaked pretty quickly. It wasn’t long before my toes and fingers achieved a state of numbness that I haven't experienced in many years.
At this point all I could think about was getting home before dark and I didn't take any more time to stop for pictures. I made it back to my in-laws just as it was getting dark and decided I would never ride again...until tomorrow.
