Day 1 was a short ride, but with lots of climbing and descent, lots of it quite steep. For someone who lives in Austin, Texas and relatively flat this ride was very challenging but I loved the climbing.
Living in Austin I don't really see much reason for a brake but after all that climbing my legs were definitely tired at the bottom. I will have a brake in Canada.
Doing some slight off roading on the Coker was a unique experience.
Corbin, Nathan and Beau make it look easy. 7km of the ride was on either gravel road or fun singletrack.
Nathan, Beau, Corbin and I did the ride. Distance: 46.3km Climbing: 950m Total time: 4:21 Riding time: 3:28

Day 2 was longer with about the same amount of climbing. We had 16 unicyclists, although not everyone completed the whole ride. This was our 5th Annual Unicycle Tour of San Francisco, taking in many interesting locations in this amazing city. As soon as I read about this ride on the internet I knew I had to be part of it. All the riders were so nice and I don't see myself missing this ride ever again. Besides, after Ride The Lobster this ride will be a walk in the park. Distance: 70km Climbing: 900m Total time: 9:28 Riding time: 5:33 Once I got back to the Hoover's after the ride I was happy I made it throught he weekend and had finished the qualifying ride but also realized I had to go back to work the next night. Boo!! See y'all in Nova Scotia.
