It was a fairly cold and windy day to be unicycling. When I started, the temperature without windchill was -10 deg Celsius and it only went up to around -5 as the day went on. I split the ride up by riding a road back and forth. It was 16 km each way and I rode it 3 2/3 times. This worked out to 67 km. There was also a bit of ascent, which adds up when you do the same road many times. Fortunately, the road had no snow on it, but it did have one metre snow banks on each side. Yes, I counted this as extreme temperature. My average speed was 15.3 kph.

For the second day, I chose to ride a loop, a 60 km loop. For half of the ride, I was faced with fairly heavy winds and cold temperatures. The temperature made it up to around 0, but with the windchill it was still quite cold. I rode with three bikers this day, which was a lot more interesting than riding alone. Fortunately, there was some awesome new pavement which was super smooth. My average speed was a bit slower today at 14.3 kph.
