Riders: Jeff Groves, Roman Allemann, Josh McCormick, Emily McCormick, Carl Hoyer Total Distance: 71km Ascend: 800m Descend: 800m Strong Winds: 30km Weather Temp: 14C - 18C Winds: SW Sustained 50km/h Gusts of 63km/h. Mostly crosswinds with the occasional headwind. The 5 of us and 2 support vehicles (driven by Maggie/Pete Groves & Rob McCormick) started our ride at 9am from Campbellville (just a little West of Milton) and headed over and down the Niagara Escarpment towards Hamilton. I was on a stock Coker with newly installed 125mm cranks (a decision I would regret later in the day). We then looped through Hamilton and back up the Escarpment towards Campbellville. Strong winds started to take it's toll on all of us as we made our way up the Escarpment towards our finish destination. The going got tough on the 125mm cranks towards the end, but we all made it through the first day. Additional Pictures: http://good-times.webshots.com/album/561174017ZwVAuI

Riders: Jeff Groves, Roman Allemann, Josh McCormick, Emily McCormick, Carl Hoyer Total Distance: 63km Ascend: 450m Descend: 450m Strong Winds: 25km Weather Temp: 14C - 21C Winds: SSW Sustained 35km/h Gusts of 50km/h. Mostly crosswinds with some headwind sections. Once again the 5 of us and 2 support vehicles (driven by Maggie/Pete Groves & Rob McCormick) started our ride at 10am from the Allemann farm in Mount Pleasant, Ontario and set out on the rolling farm roads. We were all feeling the affects of the previous days ride, but were all in good spirits as we knew this day was supposed to be an easier ride. The weather started out great, unseasonably warm and sunny with some light winds. Towards the middle of the ride the winds started to pick with some nasty gusts that made it a challenge to keep balanced. At about 3/4 of the way through the ride Darren Bedford showed up to cheer us on and provide some support. As we were approaching the end of our ride we decided to shorten the route as the high winds from both riding days was really starting to tire our legs and we figured we had the required rating to meet the qualifying standards.
